FAQ

What is OUTtv?

OUTtv is the world’s first and leading LGBTQ+ streaming service, offering original series, documentaries, and specials made by and for the queer community.

OUTtv is available on Apple TV, iOS, Android, Roku, Fire TV, and web browsers. It can also be added as a Prime Video Channel in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand; as an Apple TV Channel in the US and Canada; and on The Roku Channel in the US. Content availability varies by region.

To start watching, visit OUTtv.com or download the OUTtv app.

How can I subscribe to OUTtv? Where is OUTtv available?

OUTtv is available to residents of Canada, US, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Israel, Brazil, Argentina, and Taiwan.

To subscribe, visit outtv.com or download the OUTtv app from the iOS, Android, or Roku app store.

OUTtv is also available as a channel add-on through third-party platforms:

  • Amazon Prime Video: US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand
  • Apple TV Channels: US, Canada, Australia
  • The Roku Channel: US
  • Comcast and Cox: US

If you subscribe through one of these platforms, billing and account management are handled by that platform directly.

How much does OUTtv cost? What are the subscription plans?

All OUTtv.com plans include a 7-day free trial. Prices are the same in CAD, USD, AUD, and NZD.

  • Monthly: $5.99/month
  • Six months: $29.99
  • Annual: $59.99 (best value — roughly $5/month)
  • Lifetime Subscription: $249.99

Applicable taxes are added at checkout. Charges will appear as “OUTtv Cleeng” on your statement.

Note: If you subscribe through the iOS, Android, or Roku app store, or through Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Roku Channel, Comcast, or Cox, pricing and billing are managed by those platforms and subject to their terms.

Does OUTtv offer a free trial?

Yes. OUTtv offers a 7-day free trial for new subscribers who sign up at outtv.com. The free trial applies to monthly, 6-month, and annual plans. It does not apply to season passes or lifetime subscriptions.

Important things to know about the free trial:

  • The trial is measured in calendar days, not hours. Day 1 starts the day you sign up.
  • To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before your trial ends.
  • Uninstalling the OUTtv app does not cancel your subscription — you must cancel through your account.
  • The free trial is available once per account. If you cancel and re-subscribe later, you will not receive another free trial.

How do I redeem a promo code on OUTtv?

To activate a promo code on OUTtv.com:

  1. Go to outtv.com and click Log In in the top right corner.
  2. Click Sign up now and create your account.
  3. Select the subscription plan that matches your promo code (monthly, 6-month, or annual).
  4. On the payment page, click Add Promo Code, enter your code, and click Apply.
  5. Enter your payment information and click Confirm.

Note: Promo codes are only redeemable at outtv.com and cannot be applied through the iOS, Android, or Roku app stores, or through Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, or other platform channels. Your OUTtv paid membership is a month-to-month subscription that begins after your free trial period ends.  You can cancel at any time within the length of the trial at no cost.

How does OUTtv billing work? When will I be charged?

Your billing date is set on the day your free trial ends, and renews on the same date each cycle:

  • Monthly subscribers are billed every month on that date.
  • Six-month subscribers are billed every six months.
  • Annual subscribers are billed once per year.

Billing dates may shift slightly due to weekends or statutory holidays. Charges will appear as “OUTtv Cleeng” on your credit card statement.

If you subscribe through the iOS or Android app store, Roku, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Comcast, or Cox, billing is handled by that platform and will appear under their name on your statement.

What are the system requirements to watch OUTtv on a computer or browser?

To stream OUTtv on a computer, you need:

  • A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge — keep it updated)
  • A broadband internet connection (minimum 5 Mbps recommended for standard quality; 15 Mbps or higher for HD)

OUTtv does not require any software installation to stream in a browser. If you experience playback issues, try clearing your browser cache or switching to a different browser. For persistent issues, see the video quality troubleshooting question below.

How many devices can I watch OUTtv on at the same time?

You can stream OUTtv on up to 3 devices simultaneously using the same account credentials. This applies to all subscription plans.

Note: Accounts flagged for excessive or abusive simultaneous logins may have this limit reduced.

How can I update or change my payment method on OUTtv?

To update your payment method on OUTtv.com:

  1. Go to OUTtv.com and log in to your account.
  2. Go to My Account.
  3. Scroll to Payment Method and follow the prompts to update or remove your card.

If you’re unable to update your payment method, contact Cleeng support directly at [email protected] — they manage all billing for OUTtv.com subscriptions.

Note: If you subscribed through Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Roku, or another platform, update your payment method through that platform’s account settings.

Is my payment and personal information secure on OUTtv?

Yes. OUTtv.com billing is managed by Cleeng, a PCI-compliant payment processor. Your credit card information and personal data are stored securely on Cleeng’s servers using 256-bit SSL encryption.

OUTtv does not store your credit card details directly. For full details on how your data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.

Why did my OUTtv payment fail? What should I do?

If your OUTtv payment was unsuccessful, try the following:

  1. Check with your bank — some banks block unfamiliar or international charges. Contact them to authorize the transaction.
  2. Try a different payment method — update your card details in My Account at OUTtv.com.
  3. Check that your card hasn’t expired — update it in your account settings if needed.

If the issue persists, contact Cleeng support at [email protected], who manage all billing for OUTtv.com subscriptions.

Why didn’t my OUTtv subscription renew automatically?

If your OUTtv subscription didn’t renew, you’ll receive an automated email notification. The most common reasons are:

  1. Your bank rejected the transaction — Contact your bank to authorize the charge, then retry your payment.
  2. Your credit card has expired — Log in to outtv.com, go to Settings, and update your card details. You can also use the link in the notification email.

Important: If you don’t resolve the payment issue, your subscription will be automatically cancelled and you’ll lose access to OUTtv content. You’ll need to subscribe again to restore access.

How do I cancel my OUTtv subscription?

OUTtv is a prepaid service. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period. To avoid being charged for the next cycle, cancel before your renewal date.

How you cancel depends on where you subscribed:

Subscribed at OUTtv.com:

  1. Log in and go to My Account.
  2. Under Subscriptions, click Cancel Subscription.
  3. Follow the prompts until you see the confirmation screen.

Subscribed through the iOS, Android, or Roku app store:
Cancel through the relevant app store — not through outtv.com.

Subscribed through Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, or Roku Channel:
Cancel through that platform directly. OUTtv cannot process cancellations for platform subscriptions.

How do I fix OUTtv video playback or streaming quality issues?

If you’re experiencing buffering, low video quality, or playback errors on OUTtv, try these steps in order:

  1. Check your internet connection — OUTtv recommends at least 5 Mbps for standard quality and 15 Mbps for HD.
  2. Update your browser or OUTtv app to the latest version.
  3. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then restart.
  4. Try a different browser or device.
  5. Make sure you’re not signed in on more than 3 devices at once — log out of other devices and try again.
